Graphics Card Reccommendation.

I have a HPE-210f Desktop with a ATi Radeon HD 5450 graphics card, I am currently looking to upgrade but I know very little about this kind of stuff. I understand that I might need a new power supply, if so then whatever, i am just afraid to buy a card that wont fit.

yeah 300w is pretty weak, what kind of gpu are you looking at?

Lol 😛. Well you could add a HD7770 or 650ti on this PSU i guess, but that's the highest you should go. I wouldn't go any higher with this build anyway, you could also save some money for a completely new build.

Thank you for the advice, and once i get out of college i plan to buy a whole new rig, just looking for upgrade for the now.

Get a 7750 then, should be fine for now, at least it's a big step up from your 5450

Oh crap, one more thing. Would the 7750 fit in my HPE-210f case? o_o

7750 will fit it's a small card.

300w is sufficient for a 7750 and cpu, his current GPU is also using about that wattage so yeah why not. What other components are you thinking of that use that much power?

CPU uses 125W
GPU 75W
roughly 80w left for system to function should be more than enough.

Wattage can't reach more than 75 for that card, that's the PCI-E slot power limit 😉.

And a quality 300w psu will be better than an 400w no name psu offcourse.
