Looking for a graphics card ideally around the £100-140 ($130-170) capable of running most games at 1080p and 40+fps ....

Two i have looked at so far are the:

MSI Nvidia gtx750ti 2GB GDDR5 and the
Sapphire AMD R9 280 3GB GDDR5.

Perhaps someone can comment on those (if you own either one) or recommend a separate one. Also on a side issue i plan on upgrading my memory to 8GB, is it work going for 1600MHz over 1333MHz as i hear the difference is virtually non existent.

Current Computer specs:

Motherboard : Gigabyte P67A-UD3 which has PCI-e 2.0 x16
CPU : Intel i5 2500k@3.3GHz
Memory : 4GB Mushkin Silverline 1333Mhz 9-9-9-24
Graphics : MSI Nvidia Gtx 460oc 1GB GDDR5 cyclone
HDD : Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB
PSU : 600w Corsair builders series

Many thanks to anyone that can help!

I like NVIDIA cards purely because of CUDA and PhysX but the AMD has more raw processing power. IMO the NVIDIA will use the power it has more intelligently but there's not a massive reason to go for either - it's purely based on personal preference.
