Graphics card removal

I am having trouble removing my graphics card as a piece of metal appears to block the card from sliding out but i don't remember hitting it when putting in the card. The case is a corsair 500r. Here is a picture.

That's a pop rivet on the case. You can always just take out one of the PCI Case slot/covers out above or below it to give a little more wiggle room then slide it up so the rivet fits through one of the little notches on the face place for the card.

It is a rivet. Try pulling the card up from the back first rotating toward the drive cages a little to clear it, or flex the case out as you pull.

I am just worried moving the card might bend the pcie slot itself, its no longer snapped in but still seems partially inside the slot.

I have moved it up and down by removing the pcie slot covers and the rivet wont fit through any slits in the metal and it won't move towards the drive cage at all since its still partially into the pcie slot so is it just impossible to remove?

Have you tried removing it by pulling on the rear of the card (the side nearest the front of your case) slightly more than the side with the PCI plate on so it comes out at a slight angle?
