graphics card repair

IS it possible to have my graphics card repaired. Maybe cheaper than buying a new one?

What happened to it? Most card problems, unless it was bad soldering are very hard to fix, especially if something went wrong on one the the chips. GPU's arent that expensive, just make sure you get one with a lifetime warranty this time around.

If the above suggestions don't work or are too expensive, and the card has problems like lines through the display or garbled text on startup, try the 'oven trick' (http://www.notebookforums.com/post3052378.html)
Like the link says, this should only be done as a last resort before the card is thrown away. It worked for me and many others and may save you some $$. Good luck!

Dude you need to give some details about the card...
If it is a FX 5200 and you go reparing it then it will cost more than it deserves...

But if it is a GTX 275 then it is worth it...

And see if it is under warranty or not.
