Hello, i decided to replace my old graphic card msi n440gt-md1gd3/lp with an msi n560gtx-se-m2d1gd5/oc. What was my first problem was that my monitor supports VGA input only and the new graphic card has 2 DVI plugs, so i bough an adaptor of female VGA and male DVI.

I deleted the old gpu's drivers and unplugged the desktop to install the new gpu.

What followed next was to hear 2 short beeps and 1 long beep. Then i reinstalled the old gpu and again i heard the same beeps.

I insisted on replacing one another gpu until my old one fnction properly again, then i tried again to install the new one but nothing more occured that those beeps.

Also i've been told that my current Graphics card, the msi n440gt is being suplied efficiently from the motherbord while the msi n560 requires arround 150 watt, and i've been wondering if i can plug a bridge between my PSU and the Graphics card.

My computers spec's are those :

CPU : Intel Core i5 750 @ 2.67GHz
Lynnfield 45nm Technology
Motherboard : MSI 2A90h (CPU 1)
PSU Output : 450 W Max.

if more info about my computer specs is needed in order to get proper help please inform me.
I really want to replace the old graphics card so please if anyone can help me that would be awesome.

I have a conection cable for PSU and Graphics card, what would happen if i try to connect those two ? I mean, i dont think is the motherboard because i dont see any other mulfunction so i am firmly convinced that it is the supply that the new gpu requires. However i dont see any requirements in the page of the card on the msi official site. Although i will test right now the bios and let you know..

Edit: On-off (1.0 second each) two times, then 2.5-second pause (off).

The pattern repeats once.

Then the computer continues to boot.

Video error (no add-in graphics card installed)

That was the beeps i faced. The fans were running when i installed (so i dont know if the supply was enough or no) that card but the only respone i took was the beeps.

The GPU has 2 inputs for the cable i have. The connector has 2 yellow and thre black cables and 3 pins that being connected to the PSU plugs. What you reccomend to do, i am little bit afraid to test it in case it will burn the gpu.

My old GPU (the n440gt) does not require suply from the PSU. From what i've been, motherboard suplys it efficiently wihtout the need of PSU connection. Now, because i had impelmented the same topic in a different site, they told me that the one that i want to put, the new one (N560gtx) requires more watt from those that the motherboeard provides, i searched both gards on msi official page but i doenst refers to any power requirement. Pretty confusing...

Oh so you say that because it has 2 plugs it needs 2 connectors, seems legit but if i try with one you thinkg anything migh t occur ?

You are right. I asked a shop for a connector such as this i have, and they told me i need 2 cables , one with 2 molex and one 6 pin and another with one six pin ending to two six pins, or something like that anyways, thanks for all your time and effort, i appreciate it.
