I need to run 3-4 screens via DVI or DisplayPort (reg/mini) as a software developer (gaming is irrelevant), at least one 2560x1600 and 2-3 others at 1600x1200. My motherboard (Asrock P67 Pro) has these PCI Express ports:

- 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16
- 3 x PCI Express x1 porte

What would be a good value for money solution, that gets the job done?

One x16 card? 2 x1 cards? Or? Keep in mind there will be no gaming.

No particular budget. The cheapest solution that gets the job done in a good way. If that costs 100USD, great. If it costs 300-400USD, well then I will just have to swallow that pill. :)

My current card is a Radeon HD 6780, which has served this purpose very well for ~4-5 years, but is unfortunately dying on me.

in not into software developing and if that involves just coding without any visual graphic processing i guess you're right! for only 15 pounds more R9 280 is a better deal anyway than 270x :)
