Hi everyone,
I've noticed that some video cards come with a full fan shroud (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127675) while others only have a partial or no shroud at all (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127685). Is there any noticeable difference in a case like the Antec 900? I know, it's old, but it's got a lot of ventilation: 3 x 120mm fans and a 200mm Big Boy up on top. I opened up my creaky GTX470 today and was amazed at the lint 'sweater' that was covering the heatsink. (And here I thought I was cleaning it out well enough with compressed air!) I'd think that the partial/no fan shroud would make it easier to thoroughly clean out the dust bunnies.
I'm looking to upgrade my card and was wondering what everyone thought. Heat out the back or ease of cleaning?
Thanks
BRubble
