Graphics card shuts down after a period of time.

Hello, I have bought a GTX1050.. a few months back and Since then I have been experiencing an issue. When i play games with max settings, the game runs smoothly but then my graphics card shuts down and my monitor becomes black and I can hear a sound from my voy when it does that. My monitor simply says that it's going to power saving mode. Please help me

I have PSU of 290W
10GB ram
Intel core i5
Gtx 1050 2GB

Sorry... i wasnt able to reply for some reason .. i reposted this on other thread .... Okay .. fine ... do you think my 290 watt psu may be a cause for my graphics card to shut down ?

Yes it is probably a psu issue. You need to trouble shoot first to narrow it down. Run msi afterburner/Riva tuner to check gpu/cpu temps to see if it's a thermal issue. Or try your card in a buddy's pc. Or try a new psu
