Graphics card shuts off

My computer is fine when I play games but when I try to play games that have a little bit better graphics, my graphics card turns off and my monitor is black. I used to be able to play these game fine but for some reason it stopped working. This is the first time this happened.
What can I do to fix it?

Sounds like the PSU isn't good enough.

For starters I would uninstall all graphics drivers. Remove the GPU from mobo and re-install it. Make sure that everything is in place correctly including power cables to gpu then reinstall drivers and see how that works. Other than that like mentioned above it sounds like you might be having a power issue from the psu.

Just because it worked for over a year doesn't mean it can't break down now.
