Sapphire Nitro R7 370.

Up until yesterday this card has been running fine every time

Now the fan wont turn and i get a black screen
My PC still beeps fine as if nothing is wrong.
Tested it on 3 different power supplies and 3 different motherboards
500W psus so more than enough power.

If i leave it for a while then come back to it, It will work again
but if i turn off the PC and back on the problem reoccurs.

What specific PSUs are you testing it on? An R9 370 was an OEM card, so Sapphire never did one of those..... I assume you have an R7 370?

How are temps on the card when everything is operating as it should? Seems unlikely, but it could be the card overheating.... would explain why it won't 'come back to life' after a reboot and will resume after some time has passed (ie it's cooled down).

I'm not aware of GPUs functioning like that..... motherboards can, CPUs have done that on occassion too..... but I've never heard of it in GPUs

Oh Nitro R7 370 Sorry. Right now i have the card plugged in and only onboard was detected by the motherboard.
The card isnt even detected. the PSUs are 2 EVGA 500W and a Silverstone 500w.
Ive always used hwmonitor to monitor the temps and on idle it's 60C
when gaming it's 75C

I'm not sure on the specifics for that card; some won't ramp the fans up initially - although most will upon boot.

Onboard can work, even with a GPU installed - so I wouldn't determine the GPU isn't detected just because onboard works.

It does sound like a problem with the card though; I assume it's not under warranty?

I'd dismantle it, clean it up, replace TIM etc, and see what happens.

Generally speaking, GPUs just 'die', they don't just "not work" from time to time.

If that doesn't work, you could always try to 'oven method' of reviving a GPU, but that's a (very) short-term fix at best.
