graphics card swap

I have an older pc that i put together a few years back. Still works ok but the qraphics card is failing (fan died-- transister burst) It is a nvidia fx7300gs. I have a fx5600xt agp card computer has agp slot can i swap these cards and how do i do it thanks for any help

No, the fx7300gs is a PCI-e card and AGP cards will not work(or fit for that matter) in a pci-e slot.

So does your motherboard have a PCI-E and AGP slot? Because as said above the fx7300gs is PCI-E only I have never seen a AGP version of that card. What is the make/model of the motherboard?

my apologies for the confusion i have the fs7300gs in a pci-e slot and an agp slot on the motherboard that is currently empty if i remove the fs7300gs can i use the fx5600xt in the agp slot without doing any damage and how do i complete the install thanks again
