Hi guys,

I have 4 identical 50" 1080p monitors and I'm looking for a graphics card that will power those as a 2x2 single display setup. I have ready that eyefinity from amd will do the job but not 100% sure. Does anyone have any current graphics card recommendations they would love to share. No gaming is involved, mainly will be running Kodi on it and videos.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
A GTX 960 can run 4 displays in surround. You could also use Eyefinity with a card like the r9 270 but it would require a Displayport MST hub and a couple of adapters(i doubt the tvs have a displayport).

It does and they do, I know this as I have had four monitors on one of my 660's.

I have a 960 and can confirm that it can indeed run four 19 x 10 monitors at the same time, I also have a pair of 970's and guess what?...
You really need to go away and do some research, or better still go and buy some cards and experiment.

i said that the 128 bit arent enough if he wants to use the 960 for 4x tv's GAMING. Just for videos it is ok. And for the 970 it depends on the game and the resolution and the settings that someone wan.ts to play. Par exaple the 960 can hadle 4x playing LOL but not a more demanding game on 4x OK?

Do yourself a favour and ACTUALLY read the OP.

Were you able to get all 4 in surround so they acted as 1 display? I was under the impressing on 3 would be in surround and the 4th would act as an independent accessory display.

That's all I can get actually as I haven't been able to get the fourth screen to run independently.

Can you please verify this? EVERYTHING and I mean absolutely everything, I have read has said Nvidia will not operate more than 3 displays in surround. The 2x2 matrix has especially been mentioned as impossible. I was under the impression eyefinity will do this, but surround will not.

I am interested in running 4 1080p displays. I will be building a really cool setup to actually change my displays from 4x1 to 2x2. I want to use them 4x1 for gaming in surround. I want 2x2 for gaming in 4k. Can nVidia surround actually do this?

I don't know about 4K but I can run four monitors from a single card.

Yeah I understand you can run 4 monitors.

Please answer me though if they are all part of the gaming experience. NVidia makes it pretty clear they can do 3 monitors in surround with an accessory monitor. This is not the same as running 4 monitors in surround or eyefinity.

I am specifically looking to run 4 screens in a 2x2 configuration (an actual resolution of 4K) and play a game where it is spread across all screens. I have experience running 3x1

In 2x2 or 4x1 monitor layout?

Also what was your card again? Early NVidia Surround did 2 x 2 but does not anymore from what I understand.

I'm very perplexed here because no NVidia documentation says their cards can do what you have accomplished.
