Is it because of the PSU?
By "Turns Off" do you mean that the fans stop spinning or the GPU just doesn't work?
BUT the wattage on your PSU is very for a graphics card. A 500w PSU is the minimum requirement for this card. Are you powering it by connecting it to the PSU?

the hd 7770 worked fine for me on a corsair cx400 (400W) psu. it's an 80W card. I know, i owned one. I was running it with a 125W phenomIIx4, his 6300 is a 95W cpu, he shouldn't be having an issue.

I Apologize. When has this problem started happening? If you got it today that it might be a faulty card and you may need to order a replacement.
I've been using this card for a few years. It still works on my old motherboard with a Core i3 540(3.01 Ghz).
I don't think there is an issue with the card.
Right. I have a feeling it is your PSU then. As it is a low wattage of 430, It might not be able to power it fully which is why it turns off. I wouldn't be your motherboard though. I would get a 550 to 600 watt just to be safe but that's the only thing that I can think of now.
