Graphics card up grade

I have an e machines W-3650 tower. ECS 945G-M3 Motherboard.Running a nivida 9500gt card now.What do I need to look for when looking at up grade cards ?Memory, 512mb? ? ? Can I go to a 1gb memory? I have no idea what to look for.

That model shipped with a 250W power supply. Since it already has a 9500gt in it, we can assume it could be replace with a modern AMD HD7750, but no more. Keep in mind you are quite limited with that processor.

You'd be better off starting over with a new PC. a 2.0Ghz celeron isn't going to give you any benefit to a new card. Save up...

Abbadon_34 posted that this unit has only a 250 power supply. ouch.
From the specs I found (below) the questions are, 1) how much $$ and what are you trying to accomplish?

As the system is a bit old, upgrading memory, power supply, video card you probably would be better off building a new machine. I say that only because 1 GB of older memory can cost more than 4GB of newer memory. 🙁

Search the power requirements of any video card. Most good video cards are going to want 400 watts or more.

aLREADY UP GRADED TO A 750 ATX POWER SUPPLY WITH A Pentium 4 . I am not a gamer. But videos just do not load fast enough to watch . Wi th memory up grade 2 gb.
