Graphics card upgrade from GTX 550 Ti

Hi,

I built my computer last year and I have a GTX 550 Ti and it is jittery on some games at high settings. I would like to upgrade my graphics:

Should I get another card and run parallel (if this is possible), and if so which one should I get?
Or should I just replace my 550 Ti, and if so with what? Bang for the buck appreciated.

System Specs:

-i5 2500k CPU
-8 gigs of RAM
-700W ModXStream Pro ATX 20/24 Pin (max. output 25A)
-Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 Motherboard

Get a new single GPU.

GTX 660, Radeon 7870 or Radeon 7850 would be the ideal choice when value is in mind.

The 7850 is a great value and my recommendation. I used to have the MSI 2GB version and loved it.

I was wondering if there is anything decent under $200?

Or, is my system worth sticking a $300 graphics card into? (is my processor/ram etc. able to handle the card's capabilities?) (The pricing is for Canada.)

Radeon 7850 is below 200, you might find a GTX 660 priced at 200, if you can then buy it!

The 3 GPUs I posted will run great with your current hardware.

I found a GTX 660 (Galaxy) for $190 (after mir)

GTX 660 is usually priced around 200-230$ and the Radeon 7850 is usually priced around 180$.

GTX 660 is the better GPU, so I'd say go for the GTX 660. I've owned it myself and it can hande almost anything you throw at it.
