I have a HP Envy H8-1437c. I wanted to know if I can change my graphics card. I am looking for a really good card, problem is my power supply. My Computer has 460 watts. I need to know If any good graphics cards are compatible and If I can change my Power Supply. I am concerned if I change my power supply my Motherboard or Computer will be damaged. My Mother board is an ipmmb-fm (Formosa). Can it handle high watts? If so what is the range and will everything function correctly. My current Graphics card is a Ge-force 620 :/ so I wanna trade it out.

PLease REspond THanks EVeryone WHo HElped..

The 460W PSU HP uses is not junk (most likely Delta or FSP, possibly a better HEC), so it should be able to run any graphics card with no more than a single 6-pin PCIe power cable. This will take you up to a nVidia GTX660 or to an AMD HD7850 or R9-270 (not the 270X though).
Your components will only draw the amount of power they need from the PSU.
Make sure your case has room for a double-width card in it (single PCIe slot, but two slot-covers have to be removed to fit the card). Otherwise, you'll be limited to a HD7750 or GTX650; either would still be much stronger than the GT620 you have now.

I have one question, can you just give me the exact graphics card you recommend for my computer? Im not good with this stuff.

Well I dont want to have to buy the PSU, so any recommendations for a GPU that supports my watts

I cannot suggest a specific card without knowing where you can buy and you need to confirm that the PSU has a 6-pin (or 6+2 pin) PCIe power cable. I went to HP's site and checked manuals and other information, and it wasn't in there. You'll need to open it up and look. That cable isn't needed by the GT620 you have, so if it is present it is probably tied down out of the way for now.
