Graphics Card Upgrade

Hello everyone.

I'm looking forward to get a new graphics processor, I currently have a GTX 650 Ti Boost and I want to get the new GTX 970.
First of all I need to know if I have to change my PSU too, and secondly I would like to hear pros and cons of the GTX 970.

Here are the specs of my PC:

XFX PRO 550W (Core Edition)
Core i7 3.4 GHz 3770
GTX 650 Ti Boost
2x 4GB DDR3 RAM
