Graphics Card Upgrade

So I've been wanting to upgrade my GPU for some time now but I have not kept up with current GPUs so does anyone have a recommendation for a GPU that would be a great upgrade for my rig? A friend recommended a GTX780Ti but then another said If am going to spend that much on a GPU why not get this http://www.newegg.co...ID=3938566&SID= like I said I have not kept up with current GPUs only thing I know is the GTX980/970 are the newest 4k GPUs but I really don't care about 4k I just want something that can do 1920x1080 on Maxed out settings on the newest games, also so I can use dual monitors and that will last me for quite some time.

The GTX 980 is a little better than the 780Ti, and a little less out of your wallet. In the high-end range, that is what I recommend. Here is a comparison of price and performance.

Anything in that range will support 1080p on max, with any game, for a long time. And eventually when the prices go down you can SLI it with another of the same.
