Graphics Card Upgrade

I have an ASUS U56E laptop with an intel hd 3000 gpu and I want to upgrade it, but I'm not really a computer guy so I don't know which gpu I can buy that will work with my computer, if you could help me out by suggesting some cards that are better and will work that would be great.

The short answer is you can't upgrade laptops. The long answer is without some sort of horrifying contraption and extreme electronic knowledge, you cant upgrade a laptop, because laptops are built around certain predetermined graphics cards and physically cant fit anything else. So from here your best bet is buy a better laptop, or custom build a gaming tower which I would be happy to help with. In fact the gaming tower could get better than or equal to next gen performance for around the same price if it's built correctly.
