Recently I began overcloaked 5-6 days ago and I am not thay experienced.I turned on everything , except the core voltage, because I am not sure what it does. The afterburner menu has set at msi standart,so that means that it cant fry my gpu ,right? But the main point is that , does it increase the core cloak(can I set it at higher speeds without crashing the driver).
My gpu is msi geforce gtx 1070 quicksilver OC and the it can reach up to 120mv.
Thanks in advance

Solution
The newer Nvidia GPUs are voltage locked. Even if you crank up to 100%, it won't go above a certain voltage set by the BIOS. So, no It's doesn't fry anything.

If you want to overclock, the general procedure is like this:
0. Install MSI Afterburner
0. Download and run UNIGINE Valley on Ultra + Windowed. Any other benchmarking works too.

1. Max your power limit. (Requires good PSU)

2. Increase your core clock 50+ at a time while looking at the benchmark till artifacts (weird lines and colors) appear or your driver crashes/freezes. Then fine tune it compared to your previous clock.
Example Core clock: ... > +150 > artifact > ... > +145 > no artifact > +120 (Keep it 25 or more below max)

3. Do the same for Memory...

4. Save your profile.

5. Don't check apply overclocking at startup. You can check it after a few days of testing.

Keep temps below 80c. If start going above, install a fan near it or change the paste.
