Graphics card

My Vaio vgnsz750n does not start on speed mode. According to the documentation the graphics card on this Vaio is GeForce(R) 8400M GS. I tried to install the patch for this driver - GeForce 285.62 released on October 2011 but get a message saying "this graphic driver could not find compatible graphics hardware".

Any help would be very much appreciated.

That exactly what I did and got the message "this graphic driver could not find compatible graphics hardware".

Get the drivers from Sony, http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-home.pl?mdl=VGNSZ750N&template_id=1&region_id=1&tab=download#/downloadTab

Many times laptop video cards will not work with reference vendor drivers.

What do you mean by "speed mode" anyway? Explain the issue in better detail.
