Graphics Conflict - Intel Onboard Vs. nVidia GeForce460

Chip - Intel i5
GPU - GeForce460
BIOS Settings - GraphicsBootOrder - Auto / InteralGraphics - Auto

So hopefully this will be a simple fix per what research I've done on the subject.

I plugged in a monitor to my onboard mobo graphics and now my PCI'd GeForce isn't being detected in the Device Manager.

I've read that my intel onboard gpu may have turned off my PCI slot ? So, I tried moving my GeFroce to a different PCI slot to see if that one was working only have the same result: Only the Intel GPU is being detected in my Device Manager.

Any advice? I'm fairly competent with computers but playing in the BIOS is not something I have a lot of experience with.

The way it works is like this.

The board has integrated Intel graphics on the board.

Simply go into the bios. disable the intel graphics chip.
Look for a section that labels the order of graphics devices to initialize first as the default display output device. Do not leave it to auto.

It will look like : IGPU, PEG, PCi-E.

Set PCI-E to first in the list of the order.
Save the settings before exiting the bios.

Connect the monitor lead to the GeForce460

I many have spoken a little prematurely. I got the GeForce to display once, so I powered down to screw everything back in but now I cant get anything to display.

I've powered up and down like 10 times and since I disabled my on board gpu, I am in the dark, literally.

Any suggestions?
