I've had my computer for close to two years now and it's been having a few issues with graphics drivers over the past couple months or so, and I am at my wit's end.

Parts List:

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860K
Motherboard: MSI A88XM Gaming
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Red 8 GB (2x4)
Storage: Western Digital RE4 1 TB
Graphics Card: MSI Radeon R9 290 4GB Twin Frozr
PSU: Corsair Builder 600W

Whenever I do any sort of graphic-intensive program or game such as play games or even watch youtube videos, the screen will freeze before flickering and finally turning black and showing the monitor's "No input" screen.

Sometimes the graphics drivers will recover and the computer will go back to normal, albeit the programs I was using would have crashed. Sometimes it just stays black and I have to restart my computer.

All of my drivers are up to date, and I'm at my wit's end. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Solution

Underclock your GPU and lower the power limit.
Or just use the integrated graphics instead. that's what I did

Is there any other way to perhaps change the graphics card settings in order to make it so that I don't have to buy another PSU? Like changing Core clock or Memory clock?
