Graphics driver resets resolution

Not sure if that is the right title but i'll describe my problem anyway.

Basically sometimes when i turn my pc on i get to the windows 10 login screen and find that my screen resolution has been set to 640x480. I always have it set to 1920x1080 but it just resets. When my resolution has been set to 640x480 I have right clicked on my desktop and gone into display settings and the drop down menu for resolution is greyed out and cant be changed. The only fix i have found is to completely reinstall the graphics driver but this is only temporary, time consuming and quite annoying.

Does anyone know a long term fix??

Many conflict issues can cause this. Does you motherboard have integrated graphics?. Use a different DVI cable and or connect/re connect the cable and see if it is enabled again. Also you need to check for conflicts in your device manager.
