Graphics/Gaming

I am looking at two possible "on the road" gaming machines. One has a 32mb on board graphics card the other has intergrated AGP graphics where I can allocate up 64 mb of RAM to graphics (I plan on getting at least 256 so it should be a problem and at least a PIII 850). Which is better: a stand alone graphics card or allocating it from RAM? and Why? .

is the on board the geforce2go? go for this one.
in any case the stand alone card will be better. it has it's memory physically all for itself means it can access it way faster. special graphics chips show usually better performance than in the chip set intergrated graphics.
NB:the stand alone graphics can use main memory for texture storage in addition to their on board memory. the size that the card can use is set under 'AGP apperture size'.

respect!
