I just got my GTX 770 back from Gigabyte RMA and this did not happen before I sent it to them. Before I contact them, is there anything I should know or try to fix?

Thanks.

Solution
use ddu again please, and remove 364 version some people have cmplainted those drivers are borked, use an older driver 359-362 (even if it caused issues with our multi monitor setup) need to check if it is teh damned 364 driver causing issues again, before you RMA the card
(updating driver from 362 to 364 constitutes a change, so need to brign the system back to the state before to be able to compare)

That's what I am going to end up doing, but I want to see if there is something simple or something I can say to them to get them to fix it.

if you have installed the graphics card correctly, and the drivers are the same as before you sent it in, basically if nothing has changed, there is no way that can be something you have done, and they gave you a faulty gpu

Before you do that:

1) Resit the GPU
2) Use a different output (different cable)
3) Use a different monitor input
4) Update your GPU drivers

See if that makes a difference...It is most likely a GPU fault but you can but try first.

Goodluck :)

Did you remove the graphics driver from the system before you inserted the card that was returned to you first of all.

If not use the program bellow, install it and run it.
It will remove any of the video drivers you had installed on the system, and any reference to them from the windows registry.

For a full clean uninstall.

http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Restart the PC. let windows detect the GTX 770 card again.
Then go to the Nvidia website, and driver support section.
Install the latest version of video driver for the model range of the card.

Once done restart the system again.

And test to see if you get the same result when launching a game or tabbing in and out of it with the windows key.

If it still produces the same problem then Rma the card as the other poster Advised.
I suspect if you did not uninstall the driver. it may fix the problem following the steps above and using the DDU program.

Try it and post back on the results, it would be nice to hear if it fixed the problem for you Techtony.

I did use DDU before I sent the card in to remove all Nvidia drivers. I believe I was on 362 before I sent it in, and now I am on 364.72 which is the latest driver. I had issues with 362 with my multiple monitors, and 364 seems to have fixed it.

1. Did nothing
2/3. Tried a DVI monitor and I am not having the issue, but it happens consistently on my DP monitor. My original problem with the card when I sent it in to Gigabyte was the DP not working, so I feel this is related.
4. Fully up to date: 364.72

But will you try what I suggested before you send it back?

Also when did this start happening? How long after you updated, bought, etc?
