graphics good enough for blu ray?

Feb 22, 2007

alls i want to know is, will the grpahics on that motherboard( be good enough to decode a blu ray movie played in a blu ray rom an full HD 1080p (1900x1080) because i have read that it takes quite alot of graphical power to display a bluray movie at a resolution like that

P.S sorry if i've posted this in the wrong section
Here's a quote from

Integrated ATI Radeon X1250-based graphics
Maximum shared memory of 256 MB
Supports HDMI Technology with HDCP compliant with max. resolution 1920 x 1080p
(It may not display 1080p smoothly when playing HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc due to current version player limit)

You will need to have a powerful CPU like the E6600 or X2 5000+ to (more or less) guarantee smooth playback using any card with weak HD decoding hardware.

I would look for an ATI 2400 or nVidia 8500 for hardware decoding.
