Graphics in games sometimes flicker, or flash blue.

In a few games on my PC, the graphics will flicker or flash blue. I have an AMD 7700 series graphics card. with the latest drivers. My graphics card is connected to my monitor with a DVI cable, and a VGA adapter. Could it be that my monitor is fairly cheap? Or is it another problem?

why connected with Both cables? just use one.

Sorry for not being specific, the DVI cable is connected to my monitor with a DVI to VGA adapter.

My guess would be that is loose, either on the GPU or monitor. That or the cable is bad. Also, could be monitor, but I would try cables first. If GPU to blame, likely you would get graphic artifacts and/or random blue screens.

The cable is connected well, however I am not sure if it is bad . Regardless, I have already ordered another monitor, and an HDMI cable along with it.
