Graphics not working?

So I recently got a Radeon HD 6850 as an upgrade to the old 5750 I had. After replacing the cards and turning my comp back on, my screen freezes up and crashes. A bit more tinkering and I got the baby to work, but now I seem to be unable to play any games o.o. Help please?

Specs:
ASRock 870 EXTREME3 AMD Motherboard
Athlon II X3 450 3.2GHz Tri-Core Processor
Antec BP550 Plus 550W Continuous Power
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB

1. Did you connect all the power connectors such as the six pin and eight pin?
2. Did you install drivers?

use driver swipe and then reinstall drivers
if that don't work re install windows?

Make sure its either the card or the slot first. Install youre old card and see if it works correctly.By doing that you can be certain if its either the gfx card or the slot. If its the slot install in different expansion slot. If youre having trouble installing the drivers try booting into safe mode.Try this before re installing OS
