I have a Dell PE T310 which I want to use as a sound desk machine with server 2012 for other operations. I have purchased an ASUS GTX750 ti OC graphics card and converted a FSP600W atx psu to run the machine along with the card. I have disabled the Matrox G200e onboard graphics card in the BIOS and plugged the monitor into the GTX and can view the BIOS boot screen without issue but as soon as the Dell UEFI Boot screen and then Windows boot screen should show there is nothing. The screen is still lit but with nothing on it. What am I doing wrong as I know many have installed graphics cards to T310 without issue.

Note: When I enable the onboard card and boot with that, the device manager shows an intel processor pci port with code 12, not enough resources to run this device. I have checked the IRQ list in BIOS and can see no conflict?

Thanks

OS = Windows Server 2012 R2 x64
Intel Xeon 3450
8GB 1333 RAM

Yes, make sure the BIOS is set to use the GPU as the motor out as well. In many cases onboard graphics can be disabled, but the motherboard display port is still the output.

Any ideas where to adjust this in the BIOS of the T310?

Hmmm, not really. Try connecting to the motherboard just for kicks, I want to see what happens.

When you say connect to the motherboard what do you mean? The GPU is already plugged into the motherboard, its got power, the BIOS sees it as an unknown manufacturer vga adapter and multimedia device but I get no screen after BIOS boot.

I can plug into the motherboard vga when enabled (note GPU doesn't display when onboard vga is enabled) and will boot normally into Server OS and device manager shows processor pci port in code 12 not enough resources.

Thoughts?

Quite bizarre. What about first installing the drivers for the card, then installing the card afterwards?

I thought that too but when I ran the cd it asked me to install the VGA card first before the drivers. Will perhaps try downloading from the website and see if I can install that way. Will update thread later when I've tried this.

Hey

So tried installing again and doesn't play, states there is no nvidia hardware there. Don't know where else to turn now. My have to look at just building a machine from scratch.
