Just a Comment - With regards to graphics card performance in games. When a new games is launched the best cards available at the time can barley handle the game on max graphics settings. It shouldn't be like that.

regards kudu.

^ No, not really. My friends 9800GT OC'd still plays games flawlessly. Games are not coded to be limited to current GPU's, the same way it is for GPU's not being made to only handle current games.

The only game the 9800GT struggled on was Crysis, and that game... A computer with 10 i7 CPU's and 10 5870's won't touch 100FPS. (figure of speach.)

There have only been 2 games in the past 3 years that I know off, that exceed todays current GPU's, and that was Crysis, and GTA IV. (GTAIV being terriblly ported.) Other then that, a GTS250 can handle 90% of games on high, without a doubt.

You need to look at when the 8800GT was launched. The 9800GT was a rebagded 8800GT with a $100+ price tag increase. Even then the 8800GT was a budget upgrade for people that wanted high performance.

As I said, Crysis and GTAIV where suckers. And they where the only 2 games that I have played in the past few years that needed more resources then what had been bought to production yet.

Overall games like... CoD4/5 - Far Cry 2- Race Driver Grid - shift - Assasins Creed - Left4Dead - HAWX etc etc are awesome games and play flawlessly on the 9800GT.

What games are you talking about?... Any Dual Core over 3Ghz with a GTS250 can handle ANY game of today, hands down. - Maybe not 100% maxed out with the highest resolutions but @ 1280x1024 on high settings any game will run flawlessly on a GTS250. I know, becuase I built a set up like this a few months ago. Can you belive GTAIV played better then Crysis.

I'm telling you, Crysis is a ball buster. What I don't understand is, its a crappy game (in my opinion) people just got all hyped up about it due to it only being a PC exclusive, and it having "extreme" graphics.

The only use for Crysis is... is as a benchmark tool. "If your PC can handle Crysis... It will handle anything..." 😀
