Just got my new 1060 and have noticed a few graphical issues.
On mafia 2, there are lots of textures flickering and jumping around the screen ( not really sure how to describe it )
And on steam, when scrolling through pages , there's lots of screen tearing. Has anyone else had this problem ?

Hi, Kingmongoose

If you had another model of an Nvidia card in your system or an Ati based graphics card.
Make sure you remove the old drivers used with either card if you have not already done so.

Before you install the Gtx 1060 card and download the latest Force ware drivers from the Nvidia site.

As it is often the cause as to why you get messed up graphics in games.
And when using chrome browser or windows browser you get screen tear when scrolling down the web page with the mouse.

Ugh, don't get me started on NMS! 😛 I pre-ordered the game and it's just a giant cluster-**** of graphical and performance problems. I enjoyed the game (as much as I could play of it) but I had to stop after a few hours because the poor optimization was ruining my experience. I got crashes, speed spikes and dips, pop-ins and fade-ins, sudden short frame dips ("hitching") etc. Also, it was using up 70-100% of my CPU. It was basically slowly frying my processor! :ouch: Talk about a bad port! They really need to fix things fast if they wanna save face. In my experience from past games, they won't. They'll crash and burn on PC and have some success on PS4 (if the add a LOT of content). If not, this game will be forgotten in a few months and we'll all have learned a valuable lesson: "Don't do pre-orders, kids!" (also don't trust anybody that's trying to sell you stuff)

Damn, your situation is more seriours than my, I just have some black thing lines appears in random position,
and same here in the MSI AfterBurner I had everything on max too (core clock, memory clock, power limit etc).
I hope the drivers gonna fix our problems.

to me it seems this game was meant for console. if i remember correctly they were supposed to be PS4 exclusive at first. then somehow due to many request they decided to port the title to pc.

I seem to remember (but I could be wrong) that 4 years ago when they released the first trailer which got me hooked instantly because you COULD TAKE OFF A PLANET AND GO INTO SPACE SEAMLESSLY 😛 that it was categorized as a PC game (there was no mention of PS4). I wrote it down for future reference in a text file and forgot about it for the next few years until they started their marketing campaign. But at some point in development Sony got interested in having an Elite Dangerous-like game and made a deal with them. I think this is the point where they decided to go the console route and screw over the PC community. The game was delayed 2 days for PC (probably to ramp up PS4 sales) so they could "get it right and make the best version we can" (Sean Murray on Twitter). In hindsight what a great big joke that was...

Now if that's truly the case that's pretty shitty of them but they can still fix it. However if they were planning on making a PS4-PC port from the very start then we PC gamers are really screwed because that shows that it's a bad port. And if it's a bad port from the get-go good luck trying to fix it. It would mean years of patching.

Installed latest Nvidia driver - didn't help. Just replaced graphics card (literally minutes ago) - problems went away. So in the end it was a hardware issue. Problem solved. 😀 Thank you all for playing! 😛

Hi,

I just installed a MSI 6GB 1060 OC model and was suffering from screen tear. Tried different display port cables and no luck.

Tried the monitor on another computer and it worked fine so it must have been the 1060.

In my search i found someone saying to ENABLE Windows Aero which worked for me. No more screen tear!!
