Graphics problems motherboard?

I have recently in the last 4 months bought a gaming computer. It all worked fine up until maybe 2 months ago when I started experiencing problems of spikes and arrays of dots on my screen whilst gaming. I assumed I had a graphics card problem and ordered a refund. However now I got a new card the same problems are persisting. I have done some research and some sites say it may be to do with my motherboard RAM...but I am way out of my depth and need some help. Could help me? Thanks for your time people

Before you change a part, make sure that is the culprit. I'm not sure about your problem because I can't see that.
