So Um , I'm getting a bit confused, I can't choose between the titan and the 690 im all nvidia, though i can't seem to see which one to get both in quad sli(690X2=4) you know
getting i7 3770k,32GB ram, 2400psu 2tb ssd, 3 1080 27 monitors, but i want to able to run crysis 3 in max everything to the highest setting so can you guys help thanks in advance

Well, a pair of GTX 690's will run you $2000, while four Titans will cost $4000. Your better bet is to go for as many GTX 780's as your system can handle. Three GTX 780's should be roughly comparable to two GTX 690's and cost less while also offering more VRAM for high-resolution gaming. I would rule out the GTX 690 simply for its relatively low amount of VRAM at just 2GB each card.

If you have the money to spend, then the 6GB of VRAM in 3 or 4 Titans will certainly be of use in multi-monitor Crysis 3. Taking money out of the equation, there is clearly evidence in the linked reviews below that 3 or 4 Titans with 6GB of VRAM are absolutely essential to play Crysis 3 with low frametimes and high framerates to enable maximum settings.

Here's a review of GTX Titans in 3-way SLI:
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/04/22/nvidia_geforce_gtx_titan_3way_sli_review#.Ui1F2hPn-Ul
"In a 3-way SLI configuration, playing across three displays, we were grateful to have 6GB of VRAM on each GeForce GTX TITAN video card. This is the highest capacity we've seen so far on a consumer level gaming video card, but we actually experienced benefits in today's latest games with this higher amount of VRAM."

And a review of GTX Titans in 4-way SLI:
http://uk.hardware.info/reviews/4031/nvidia-geforce-gtx-titan-3-way4-way-sli-review-incl-5760x1080-and-frametimes

Here's a chart comparing GTX 780's in SLI versus a GTX 690, showing the two GK110 chips in the 780's considerably faster than the two GK104 chips in the 690.

If your primary concern is gaming then just get 780. It might have less vram or less one smx compared to titan but the small performance advantage of titan is so small compared to the price difference it has between 780 and titan. Titan is more like semi pro card. The spec are the same as tesla K20X with DP being unlocked but it did not offer driver and support that usually accompany cards like tesla and quadro instead was given geforce driver.

im not really following you

What are talking about? Process node and memory interface has nothing to do with drivers. Also 690 is on the same node as amd 7k series; TSMC 28nm. Also nvidia have nistory to support their card far longer than amd. Current drivers still support down to geforce 8k series (which compete with hd2k series). Last year amd have officially put hd4k series into their legacy stuff.

renz guess what company I work for????? and that was about the 690 has a bad interface we get them sent back and we just tune it over to another line and send it back out.I might work for it but I would never buy it for the price for runing one monitor it is ok but more then one forget it way to much. yes the one does have a 512 bit interface and the 23 nm .would you spend the extra 1000$ for the same thing we might advertise it like that but look more deeper do some reaserch you will see it will change this year double stacked crap and I had fixed my first message way back he already is going for the 690 and yes it is 512 23nm. I had mixed it up with another card but the money is crazy and the drive thing for amd is a thing of the past now same with helping this guy he is going for the 690.

This is about the stupidest thread I've ever seen.

Doesn't matter how irrelevant price is, Titans are a waste of cash, even with triple monitor 1080p Crysis 3 doesn't break 3GB, I've tested it myself at ultra with a few different AA's, 8x MSAA (which is completely pointless) is the only one that does. The one and only advantage the Titan has is VRAM, but here, you don't need it.

Unless you plan to go triple 4K in the future, 2x 780 will run anything and everything, add a third if you feel like it.

and I mixed up the card 23nm I fixed that way back look up so yes but still the price is the killer
