how do i find what graphics my dell inspiron 530 can take

If you are looking to upgrade your graphics card on your Dell look for the service code either on the back or bottom of the computer and then go to the Dell site and enter the service code and it will bring up your computer specs and tell you what will work with that model.

Dell has decent documentation and a service code isn't required, just search the model number. You have pcie 1.0a so you can only use up to a pcie 2.0 card. Psu is 300 or 350w so there isn't much choice unless you upgrade that as well. What is your budget? And what are the rest of your specs?
