Hello!
My printer (Epson Workforce WF 7720) is suddenly printing grayscale on red/purpleish tones, on matte paper.

Not sure if I changed any settings, but I don't think I did.
I already tried to reset all default / factory settings on the printer.
Also googled the issue, found out that my cartiges may be running out of ink, even though they were like half full, and it indeed helped, but didn't fully solve the issue. See next picture for example

First print was made months ago, and printed without any issues of color. Second picture, printed today, gray tones are kinda "purplish".
I really don't want to use grayscale, since it has some bits of color in the drawing.
I also tested plan paper and it's a little better, but not sure why the issue persist on matte paper.

(grayscale and normal color test in plan paper)

Any help is really appreciated! I got a convention soon and really would like this solved as soon as possible :(
Printer is also out of warranty, so I can't ask official support

Thank you in advance!

Most probably plugged micro holes in the head(s) for some colors. Purplish tones associate with yellow ink

If head is on the tank or removable you can place it on water and alcohol soaked piece of cloth or cotton for couple of hours and print a test page after that. Many printers also have a "Head cleaning mode"
I've been doing head cleaning for like a hour, the issue still persists
I also changes the yellow cartridge and didn't fix it either

i'll try your suggestion though
