Hey Guys;

One year ago i bought an Alienware M18x r2 (Laptop) with the following settings:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz

Ram: 12GB

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M 2GB

1TB Hard Drive

Windows 8

I can run all the games, but not all in Max settings, (for example, Guild Wars 2, TitanFall, Metro Last Light, even crysis 3), i have to run some of them (Titanfall) in min-medium settings, and with the others i have to put low "shadders" or put them in a lower resolution (the original one is 1920x108) to make them 50-60fps.

¿Can anyone tell me if its an internal problem of my laptop or just the hardware is not that good?

Thanks for your answers and attention and sorry if i have made any mistake writting (english it's not my native language).

Solution
the only thing i can think of is check v sync and anti aliasing, I can run titanfall on max without anti aliasing easy peasy but only min - medium with anti aliasing on...
Its just the hardware even amazing desktops which are 50% stronger then there mobile counterparts have a hard time maxing crysis 3 at 1080p. Not only is your cpu bottlenecking those games the gpu isnt powerfull enough to single handedly max those games. If you are really into gaming and maxing games you should invest in a good gaming desktop, build it yourself. For the price you paid for the laptop you could have something 300% faster by building your own desktop

Thanks for your answers guys,

Dodostarforce, i will try it.

firo40, I know that, but the problem is that i travel a lot around the world so its a little hard to take a desktop with me, so my question is, what can i do to get the best experience with what i have? Should i change the Graphic card (i know there is like a 770 for laptops or so) and the processor too? ...

Thanks :)

Have you considered building a powerfull mini itx desktop its the size of a shoebox but can have a 600$ graphics card in and even liquid cooled overclocked cpu's. If not avoid alienware and upgrade yearly to max games like that.
