Hey guys!

I'm getting ready to build my first computer, I'm having trouble finding a good monitor to go with it.
I need some help!

I need something that's not bigger than 32"
Something with speakers
Something with an HDMI port
Something with a great picture, obviously
Something from a reputable brand
Something not over $250 ( I'm kinda on a budget)
Something that is reliable and will last a long time

I appreciate all help and suggestions! Thanks!

How big of a screen are you actually looking for? A 32" screen is not a monitor, its a small television. A very large monitor is ~27 inches and will run you around $250, but you can get 24" screens which are still quite large for notably less and possibly get a better quality screen, or even two within your budget.

I am personally fond of ASUS screens, so I'll state that bias in advance.

If you want a massive screen that will look great I'd suggest the VE278Q

If you want a still large screen that will do 144 Hz then go for the VG248QE, the higher refresh rate bumps the price so you have to drop the size a bit to hit the price point

And if you kick the budget up to $300 you can pick up a pair of 23" screens, I am running a pair of VE248H-P

I just added the 32" part because my cabinet can only fit a 32" inch screen. Size is really not all that much of an issue though.

But on a side note, I have a Samsung 32" LED tv in my room. Do you think it would be suitable for a gaming monitor? It only runs at 60 Hz, but I think I could deal with it for a little while.
