Green and Pink dots on screen. PLease help.

My computer was fine this whole month but yesterday when i turned it on and was playing a game i got these green pixels all on my screen and my game had all these lines stretching threw the images. But Now it moved on to being green and pink pixels to being whenever im on my computer. I really need your help i have school. And My display driver keeps crashing the coming back. My specs are below (new to computers please help)

Make sure video card is seated properly.

Check that monitor cable is connected properly also.

If there are still problems, remove the video card and try it in another computer. And/or try another video card.

If there are still problems, uninstall video card drivers.

Boot into Safe Mode.

Run DDU (available [URL="http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/']here[/URL]), and completely remove all traces of video card drivers (either AMD or nVidia).

Reboot in Normal Mode.

Install latest video card drivers. CAUTION: If video card drivers were AMD, and other AMD drivers were installed previously as well, then reinstall those drivers also.

Try performing a clean boot, to see if there are any software conflicts with your GPU driver, which could be causing the "display driver has stopped working and has recovered" problem, and maybe the green and purple pixels on your screen. If the display driver issue has been resolved, but the green and purple pixels remain, these may be dead pixels, a common problem that monitors develop as they age. May I ask how long you've had your monitor for? as this can clear up some of the causes of the "dead" pixels.

To perform a clean boot :

1. Log on to the computer by using an account that has administrator rights.

2. Click Start (or windows button + r for windows 8, this will open up "run"), type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box, and then press Enter to start the System Configuration utility.
Note : If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, you should type the password or provide confirmation.

3. On the General tab, click the Selective startup option, and then uncheck the "Load startup items" check box. (The Use Original Boot configuration check box is unavailable.)

4. On the Services tab, check the Hide all Microsoft services check box in the bottom left, and then click Disable all in the bottom right.

5. Click OK, and then click Restart Later (or cancel, something of the sort).

6. Open up task manger and go to the "startup" tab. In there, disable all the programs but your internet adapter, and your antivirus.

7. Restart your computer and see if the problem is resolved

BrisPuss's comment worked best but their are still green pixels, Theirs a lot less of them and when im playing my game the people have like lines across the screen like their image is dragged

Is your GPU overclocked? If so, then try reducing the overclock a bit, as too high of an overclock could cause some instability and assist in the production of artifacts.

And there is a way to check if the pixels are a software problem or a hardware problem: take a screen shot (alt + prnt screen) and paste it in paint or any other program. If the miss colored pixels are present in the image, then its a software issue, if not, its a problem with your monitor.

Can you try the above test, and then report the results back to me? It would be greatly appreciated and also be very useful.

Yeah im still having problems with that and its a software issue i just print screened it and it popped up on the image.

Green dots are some what fixed.(still appear but not as much) now i just have this problem when i play a game
