Hello,

My computer was working fine earlier today until it suddenly just started to flicker a couple times then froze. I restarted my computer and it did the same thing.

I tried unplugging the GPU and putting it in another PCI-E port but it was still the same. Right now I have it plugged into the same PCI-E port and I now just have green lines all over my screen ( http:// ) video shows whats happening. So far I have booted up my computer in safe mode with networking and it has not flickered and froze yet.

I don't know if its a GPU problem or something else but please help me fix this issue.

edit: my specs are --

FX-6300
Gigabyte 970a-ud3p
R9 270x
600w CM PSU

Solution
I think either the monitor and/or the graphic card is/are broken.
The fastest way to check is to plug the monitor to another source e.g. laptop or to another graphic card.
However, looking at the freezes, I would suspect a broken graphic card more.
