Question Green lines on gradients ?

Hi everyone, I've not used my Samsung back-lit led screen for about 6 months, prior to this it worked perfectly, but now it has green lines. They are not in the same place, they only appear wherever there is a gradient on screen. Thanks for any advice.

Are your graphics drivers up to date? Or if they are a brand-new set try rolling back a driver or two.

Hey, thanks for the reply, no devices plugged in and it still does it (those are just the TV menus).

Oh now I understand the monitor is stand-alone problem. Have you tried leaving it on overnight? It may clear up on it's own, but it indicates obviously an internal problem.

Hey, by on do you mean Standby, or fully powered up? It has been unplugged for months, I kind of wondered if its the modern equivalent of static/deguassing on a crt , but maybe that's wishful thinking!thanks.

Just wanted to follow this up, I left the TV unplugged all night, came back to it this morning, it came on with its usual green lines, as I screwed in a VGA cable to the back, and looked again and it was all better! I guess it did just need some time after being off so long. Thanks
