I searched around but couldn't find anything on my specific problem.
SITUATION:
- Dual monitor setup
- For about 2 years, everything worked fine (both monitor)
- A few weeks ago, the secondary monitor went "blank" and the primary monitor flickers if you drag the mouse around the screen
- HOWEVER, if I turn off the secondary monitor and turn it on, the display is fine for about 3 seconds (i.e., whatever is on the second monitor is properly displayed, but for only about 3 seconds).
-- When the monitor goes blank, the green monitor light is still on (not flickering).
WHAT I DO KNOW:
- I used three different GeForce GPUs with the same symptoms
- I swapped monitors with the same symptoms
- I checked cable connections
What else could there be? PSU? MOBO?
