Hi everyone!

To be concise, I built a PC for a friend and he's been experiencing green screen crashes randomly ever since when playing games.
The specs are:
- AMD Ryzen 5 5600
- Asus B550M-A WIFI II
- Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8 GB DDR4-3200 CL16 (CMK16GX4M2B3200C16)
- Kingston NV2 1 TB
- XFX Speedster SWFT210 Core Radeon RX 6650 XT
- MSI MAG A650BN 650W
- Windows 11

To this day, I have tried, reinstalling the adrenalin drivers using DDU, updating the BIOS, benchmarking and stress testing using OCCT and furmark and monitoring temps when gaming.

Asus B550M-A WIFI II
BIOS version for your motherboard?

MSI MAG A650BN 650W
How old is the PSU?

updating the BIOS
Did you clear the CMOS after verifying you've successfully flashed the BIOS on the motherboard?

benchmarking and stress testing using OCCT and furmark and monitoring temps when gaming.
and...what are they? What app are you using to monitor temps? You forgot to mention the make and model of your case and the number and orientation of the fans inside said case. How are you cooling the processor in your build?

If this only occurs when gaming, I would check the GPU and CPU temperatures when gaming.

Hi, thanks for your response!

I updated the BIOS to the 3607 (lastest stable version). Regarding the PSU, it is brand new, like every component in the build. I have not cleared CMOS, I’ll try that when I can. About the temps when gaming and benchmarking, they seem fine, CPU and GPU not reaching more that 80 degrees celsius (using RivaTuner from MSI Afterburner to monitor temps when gaming and hwinfo when stress testing). The case is the Montech Air 100 MicroATX (3 Intake from the front and 1 exhaust in the back). I’m currently cooling the processor using the stock wraith stealth cooler.

Hi,

Yeah I thought about that too, but the temps look just fine, not reaching more than 80 degrees celsius. Thanks for the response though.
Due to some form of component failure, 80 degrees may be too high. If the problem is reproducible, you might try to create it with the case cover removed and a fan on it. If the problem can't then be reproduced, then it is likely a heat problem.
