Hi people,

This morning, a green line appeared on the screen of my second monitor, an Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ1A.
It isn't caused by the Nvidia drivers because I changed tried the monitor on two other devices (Nintendo Switch and a laptop), and the green line is still there. I know this is a "physical" damage caused by the panel.

I created a ticket for the RMA and they will review it soon, but I'm worried about this.
Could the GPU on my PC have caused this problem? I mean, that the signal from the GPU DisplayPort could have damaged the screen, or is this most unlikely?

Here I attach some pictures about the problem: Images

Hi. I just registered here to say that i've got the same problem on an ASUS TUF VG27AQL1A...
It happened just 6 months after the 3 years warranty expired.
Planned Obsolescence in a nutshell...
I'll never buy an ASUS product again.
Apparently it can be repaired with the right tools ? Is it true ?
Thank you.

Well, if it is panel issue then maybe you can replace the panel.

But that needs know-how of that monitor disassemble + compatible replacement panel and reassembly.
Overall, monitor repair in today's day and age isn't worthwhile. It is far easier to buy new one, rather than repairing old one.

Back in the day, way back, where there weren't as many hardware available and their repair was easier, it was worthwhile to repair broken down hardware. But today - no. Heck, many are manufactured such where it is designed not to be taken apart (looking towards Apple products).

Thx Aeacus. I knew everything you said, but i was asking because an electronic technician in my town said it could be repaired...
Anyway, i already bought a new one (MSI MAG 27qrf e2) .
I'll let you know all, if he could do something with my panel.

Just out of curiosity have you tried different screen resolutions to see if the green lines go away.

I have had hands on with a monitor that does do the green line on the left of the monitor and only learned of it when I passed the monitor down to my son years ago.

Turns out if we stayed away from the resolution the monitor hated " green line" all was fine and no lines.

I still have that now old monitor and working fine.
