Not sure if this qualifies as a prebuilt since I used the sytem configurator but anyway, I put this together for £1672 on Alphasync when the same (or as similar as possible) build from pcspecialist and scan came to 2k, or just over. Mostly looking to game at 1440p on modern titiles and probably have chrome and firefox open at the same time if possible:

That GPU is very overpriced. I would say the time is now, to move to ddr5. Maybe something like this is possible for you?

Yes, problem is with configurators you have to make do with what they have. I don't feel confident enough to build and their only ddr5 motherboards plus the ddr5 ram sent it over 2k. Pretty amazing how cheap that build is though, in comparison. I'm paying a hefty price for convenience, certainly. That gpu appears to be over £200 cheaper on Amazon than anywhere else, not sure what to make of that!
