Grey Bars are flashing on the monitor.

I have an Asus monitor and once in a while it will be flashing grey bars on my screen and will occasionally turn off and on. However, on my other monitor there are no problems. My monitor with issues is VGA and the other is DVI. My graphics cars is an MSI GTX 1070 and my CPU is an 17-5820k. Any help would be appreciated. Little grey bars will flash on my screen. They will popup occasionally and pretty often. I don't know how to describe the bars. But it has gotten worse over the past month or so.

The monitor has been damaged. There is no possible way to fix it. Did the monitor fell down recently or did water went on it?

No I have not dropped it. When I use the HDMI there are no problems. I have my Nintendo Switch plugged into the HDMI and that has no problems. So I do not think it is the monitor...
