hi lately ive been experiencing grey vertical lines that cause my computer to be reset. this problem originally happened with a unigine valley benchmark. it happens constantly with this benchmark. just a couple hours ago i was playing left 4 dead 2 and my pc was stuck with the grey vertical lines mentioned before.

my initial thought was the gpu overclock wasnt stable at 1150MHz on a r9 270x. but there are no other signs of instability with the overclock...

please help!!!

i ran the bioshock infinite benchmark maxed out twice and after the first one the temp was 66 degrees celsius. the second one gave me a similar crash but instead of grey lines it was orange lines this time. i noticed the fan speed never rose over 20%.

GPUs usually display artefacts when they are overheating. Examples being when I incorrectly installed a third-party GPU cooler and when my last GPU died due to overclocking.

While running a benchmark make sure you are alt-tabbed and watching GPU-Z's temperature readout and fan speeds.

You could try alternate (non-Beta) drivers such as the latest from AMD's website, though that's something of a longshot.

Also, ensure the Graphics Card is sat firmly in its PCI-E x16 slot and that the PSU connectors are firmly attached.

If you get the chance try the card in a different system to rule out a problem elsewhere, such as with the PCI-E x16 slot on the Motherboard.
