Grey lines bleeding off at anything over 60hz

Hello i have a little issue with my new monitor and was hoping i could get some professional insight into the matter. i recently purchased an asus rog strix curved gaming monitor XG32VQ. Long story short, i have these feint lines that bleed off the edges of other windows - barely noticeable, but theyre there. They are not static but move with whatever element i am moving around, so say i drag the window and the lines move with it. The lines only appear over neutral/grey backgrounds. Also, i found out they only appear at anything over 60hz, thus at 60 there is no issue. I tried different power outlets and hdmi/dp. I havent opened the pc yet and played around with other components yet, in case they might be causing some electrical interference.

Any help/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

what gpu do you have installed that monitor should be able to display over 60hz

Yes the monitor displays up to 120hz. I run a gtx1080ti. The issue disappears if i set it to 60hz, but anything above that and the lines appear.

had you noticed this with any other gpu installed

Haven't tried a different GPU. I installed the gpu and monitor simultaneously. I guess i could try that... if i find some other gpu to borrow ^^
