Grey screen before logon

Today, a grey screen showed up before login screen right after the windows logo. It showed for a couple of seconds then continued on with the login. After that, Windows freezed for a minute then everything seemed fine. I've had this grey screen twice in a month now and I'm wondering what exactly is causing this?

Ive tried:
-sfc/ scannow
-check temps(cpu:45c/mobo:38c)

Try a DISM repair operation too, besides SFC /scannow. Open an elevated command prompt by typing "CMD" into Start, right-clicking Command Prompt, and selecting "Run as Administrator. Run "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth."
