[SOLVED] Greyed Out Folder

I was moving files from my MacBook Pro to an external hard drive yesterday when the power went out. Now the folder is greyed out. I tried duplicating the folder to see if that would un-grey the file but it didn't work. Is there a way to fix this?

Usually greyed out file/folder means it's a hidden file/folder.
No idea how it would become hidden by itself though.
You can check the folder's settings to see if it's hidden. If it's not then I have no idea what that means, but if it is you can just unhide it.

Oh dear.

Well Jackash if you have enough space on the hard disk or device, you should always copy files to another folder.

Because it keeps the original content safe. In case of a power cut.
Instead of moving data to another device such as an external drive. Or a new created folder on the drive.
That way you always have, a duplicate of the data.
If in such case as a power cut interferes with the process.



Time machine should of created a backup of the contents or data of the Macbook.
So click here for instructions to recover the data.
If the original data existed on the mac book drive not the external drive.
