Oh dear.
Well Jackash if you have enough space on the hard disk or device, you should always copy files to another folder.
Because it keeps the original content safe. In case of a power cut.
Instead of moving data to another device such as an external drive. Or a new created folder on the drive.
That way you always have, a duplicate of the data.
If in such case as a power cut interferes with the process.
Time machine should of created a backup of the contents or data of the Macbook.

If the original data existed on the mac book drive not the external drive.
